The Canal Boat Possibilities

There are a lot of things that can go into choosing a canal boat. Things like: the size of the boat, the cost of the boat, the area in which you want to canal. You can choose any one or two items as your starting point and then work from there. I chose the size and cost of boat and let that determine the area in which we floated.

Since there were just the three of us, we didn't need one of the larger boats. In fact, finding a boat rated at smaller than 6 persons was somewhat difficult. The selection of 3 to 4 person boats is quite limited.

There are several very nice web sites which provide a gateway to a large number of canal companies. Canal Junction was one of the more complete sites that I found and through that site I found lists of canal boats rental firms listed by area. From these lists of rental firms I extracted the following information about the canal boats that seemed to be the right size for our trip.
